Get Notified Emergency Notification System

Do you want to receive local emergency notifications to your cell phone or landline?

The Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) in partnership with the City of Courtenay, Town of Comox and Village of Cumberland are expanding the current boil water notification system to a free Comox Valley-wide local emergency notification service. The service will help keep residents and businesses informed in a timely manner when public health and safety are at risk.

Sign up for local emergency notifications by text message and voice calls. These notifications are intended to inform you about incidents that could impact you. By working together we can take proactive steps to build a safer and more resilient community.

Select the communities in which you live, work and play. We encourage you to register for more than one list as it will ensure you receive the appropriate alerts in times when public health and safety maybe at risk.

Already have a Connect Rocket account and have been receiving boil water or other CVRD notifications?

Be sure to login into your account annually to ensure you are on the correct distribution lists and your contact details are accurate.

Know someone that needs help registering?

There are many residents within the Comox Valley that do not have access to a computer. If you know someone that would like to receive telephone notifications but does not have a computer, please have them call the Comox Valley Regional District at 250-334-6000 for assistance in setting up their account.

The “Get Notified” Connect Rocket system is a free subscription-based service that will allow local governments to distribute local emergency alerts to subscribers. Registration is required in order to receive notifications. Currently the Canada-wide Alert Ready service cannot be used by local governments and only provides notifications to specific areas and mobile devices.
