City Facility Holiday Hours and Closures

City Facility Holiday Season Closures

Over the holiday season, city facilities and offices will be closed or have adjusted hours on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, December 24: City facilities close at NOON
  • Thursday, December 25: City facilities CLOSED for Christmas Day (except for special events at the Florence Filberg Centre)
  • Friday, December 26: City facilities CLOSED for Boxing Day
  • Wednesday, December 31: City facilities close at 3:00 pm (except for special events at the Florence Filberg Centre)
  • Thursday, January 1: City facilities closed for New Years Day (except for special events at the Florence Filberg Centre)

These closures or adjusted hours affect the following City facilities:
City Hall
Courtenay Recreation Florence Filberg Centre
Courtenay Recreation Lewis Centre (see below for more detailed facility hours) 
Public Works Yard
Courtenay Fire Hall

Fire and Other Emergency Services
The Courtenay Volunteer Fire Department will be on-call for emergency services. Call 9-1-1.
The Public Works Department and Parks Division at the Public Works Yard will be on-call for emergency services. Call 250-334-2947.

The LINC Youth Centre is CLOSED till further notice
The LINC Youth Centre building needs some work to recover from flooding issues and will be CLOSED till further notice. LINC youth activities will be relocated to the Courtenay Recreation Lewis Centre. Stay tuned for a modified LINC calendar of events for 9 – 18 years at the Lewis Centre.

Thursday December 25 - CLOSED
Friday December 26 - CLOSED
Saturday December 27 - 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
Sunday December 28 - 8:30 am - 8:00 pm
Monday December 29 - 5:00 am  - 10:00 pm
Tuesday December 30 - 5:00 am  - 10:00 pm
Wednesday December 31 - 5:00 am  - 3:00 pm
Thursday January 1 - CLOSED
