Fire Ban Issued for June 1

A fire ban will be in effect within the Merville, Tsolum-Farnham, and Courtenay Fire Protections Districts effective June 1 due to the unseasonably dry weather.

All fire permits issued by the Courtenay Fire Department are cancelled as of June 1.

The fire ban includes all open fires, incinerators and machine piles.
