New Director of Financial Services

David Allen, Chief Administrative Officer is pleased to announce that the City of Courtenay has appointed a new Director of Financial Services.

Brian Parschauer, BA, CPA, CMA, currently the Assistant Director of Finance for the City of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan will be joining the City of Courtenay on July 13, 2015.

Mr. Parschauer has extensive management history within local government, the last 19 years at Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Brian was selected based on his years of financial management experience along with his customer service and people-oriented management skills.

He holds a CPA-CMA designation, plus a degree from the University of Saskatchewan in Public Administration, and is a board member of the Western Canada Government Finance Officers’ Association.

Brian is very eager and excited about starting his new career with the City of Courtenay.

Previous Director of Financial Services, Tillie Manthey retired recently after over 22 years with the City of Courtenay.
