Duncan Avenue Road Work in Downtown Courtenay

A watermain replacement project is starting soon on Duncan Avenue in downtown Courtenay.

Construction on Duncan Avenue between 4th and 6th Streets starts later this week, and will continue until late October.

This is the second of two watermain replacements in the downtown area. The first project, on Anderton Avenue between 5th and 6th Streets, began in late August.

The Duncan Avenue project will result in road closures for vehicles and temporary parking impacts. Pedestrian access will be maintained to all businesses throughout construction. Traffic control personnel will be on-site to assist all commuters, including vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians.

Work will typically take place on weekdays between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm.
