17th Street Bridge Closed Tuesday and Wednesday Nights

Emcon Services advises that the 17th Street Bridge will be closed nightly to all traffic on Tuesday, December 12 and Wednesday, December 13 from 9:00 pm to 4:30 am for bearing repair.

The 17th Street Bridge falls under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Transportation & Highways. If you have questions about this project, please contact Emcon Services at 250-336-8897.

As well as the 17th Street Bridge closure, a small portion of Old Island Highway between Comox Road and Puntledge Road (see map below) will be single-lane alternating traffic nightly on Tuesday, December 12 - Wednesday, December 13 from 9:30 pm to 6:00 am. For further information on the work on Old Island Highway call City Hall at 250-334-4441.

Please plan your route carefully if traveling during these times. An alternate route would be to utilize Comox Road for travel to or from the 5th Street Bridge.
