CITY OF COURTENAY BUSINESS LICENCES
No Person shall carry on busimess within the City without first:
a. Paying the fee for a business licence as described under Schedule A of the this bylaw; and
b. Obtaining a City business licence; or
c. Being the holder of a valid intermunicipal business licence

When does a Business Licence Expire?
All business licences must be paid by January 1st and expire on December 31st of each year.
Can a business have one licence to cover both the City of Courtenay and Town of Comox?
Something new for the year 2007, an Intermunicipal Business Licence is now in place for the City of Courtenay and the Town of Comox. Many business categories are eligible for this licence if business is conducted in both municipalities. The annual fee is $150.00. Application can be made, and the fee paid at either the City of Courtenay or Town of Comox municipal office.
