Work is continuing on the historic Native Sons Hall, originally built in 1928. Closed since November 2009, the Hall is undergoing an extensive restoration both inside and out. The preservation of the Hall’s heritage features is foremost in the minds of the designers and craftsmen. To date, crews have restored and refinished the exterior logs and completed numerous structural repairs to trusses and beams. The interior has also seen major upgrades.

There is still a lot of work to be done, including finishing the interior with new kitchens, bathrooms and flooring, as well as replacing the roof. Replicas of the existing windows will be built and installed in the coming weeks.

The City hopes to have the Hall reopened by mid-June 2010. To view progress of the repairs, please click on the link to the photo gallery (at right.)
