Sign Permits
All sign applications are reviewed for conformance with applicable Development Permit Area Guidelines. In the Downtown, Commercial, Shopping Centre, and Industrial Development Permit Areas, use of indirect lighting methods to illuminate signage is required. Both a Development Permit and a Sign Permit is required for all freestanding signs. Please contact the Planning Department for more information. A link to Development Permit Areas is included below.

Fees
Every applicant for a sign permit shall pay to the City, at the time of such application, a fee as follows:
| Freestanding Sign | $100.00 |
| Freestanding sign that does not exceed 2.5 metres (8.2 feet) in height | $45.00 |
| Sign alteration | $20.00 |
| Under-awning sign | $10.00 |
| Flag or Banner sign | $20.00 |
| Portable signs, temporary signs | $10.00 |
| All other signs | $45.00 |
