The week is almost over, so why not join us for some fast hockey action.  Supervision and play for all levels provides fun for you and your friends.
6-8 years:  Emphasis will be placed on teaching you the basics: rules, skill development, team play, and of course fun.
9-12 years: This will be a non-instructional program, with emphasis on  lots of floor play, safety, and a good work-out.

Combine elements of freestyle, race, and general improvement strategies in a safe, fun, non-competitive environment.  You will be grouped by ability level (Discover-first time skiiers; Novice, Intermediate, or Advanced.  Inquire about a lunch option.  Parents are encouraged to ski and ride with your kids at the end of the day from 3:00 until 3:30 pm.

Axe Capoeira

Dance, music, acrobatics and martial arts--all in one class! Karate
(9 - 14 Years)
Courtenay Shito Ryu Karate Club is rooted to one of the four major traditional styles of karate. Train in physical conditioning (aerobic fitness and endurance, stretch and flexibility), self defence, sparring and forms practice (basic blocks, kicks, punches and body shifting).
Develop self confidence, discipline, concentration and sportsmanship.  Courtenay Karate is a member of the National Karate Association and affiliated with Sport B.C. and Sport Canada, enabling interested students to compete in sport karate events. Karate BC sanction fee will be extra.

Taekwondo

Step into this Korean martial art known for its effective striking techniques.  While mainly a combative sport, you will also improve your fitness and develop mental and spiritual growth. We will focus mainly on the sport aspects as it applies to Olympic sparring.  This fast-paced, intense program provides excellent physical activity for all ages and can be adapted to individual needs.
Certified by World Taekwondo Federation, Canadian Taekwondo Federation and B.C. Taekwondo.
