Recreation is for Everyone
Our objective is to create opportunities for a positive, quality leisure lifestyle by providing
support services to people with special needs. Special needs includes people of all ages
with physical, emotional or mental disabilities.

We provide services including special programs and volunteer support, leisure counselling,
networking and advocacy.

Special Programs
The Special Needs Recreation Program offers a number of adapted fitness and fun programs
for people with special needs.

Advocacy
Do you have any concerns or questions about recreation in the Comox Valley?

The Special Needs Recreation Coordinator is working on a number of committees to help make
the Comox Valley truly the Recreation Capital of Canada for everyone.

Leisure Counselling
Are you interested in a community activity but need extra help?

Meet with the Special Needs Coordinator to look at your interests and goals, and the Coordinator
will work with you to make these goals possible.

The Comox Valley is full of interesting opportunities and activities. For more infomation on what's

Accessibility
The Comox Valley has a very active Accessibility Committee working to help make the Comox Valley
truly accessible for everyone.
