For Sale by Auction - 10 Burner Gas Stove

Unit currently in working condition – needs recertification

 

Removed from the lower level of the Native Sons Hall in 2019 – the 10 burner gas stove is offered for sale by bid from the City of Courtenay. The gas stove is in working order however it does need to be re-certified by a Gas Fitter technician prior to installation and operation. It is not currently CSA approved. The stove is very heavy (500+ lbs) – and is offered in as is – where is condition from our storage facility. The City can assist to lift it onto a truck or trailer for take away.

The stove is thought to be 80-100 years old – and was installed in the lower level kitchen of the historic Native Sons Hall which was built in 1928 as Courtenay’s original Recreation Centre. The stove was used by various groups, weddings, dances, concerts and community events.

The City of Courtenay will be using an auction bidding procedure to dispose of surplus equipment. All equipment will be awarded to the highest compliant bidder, subject to meeting the minimum reserve that may be set for the equipment, by the City. Equipment is sold as-is, where-is.
