Day Camp Leader (Spring Break)

Courtenay Recreation is looking for energetic individuals who enjoy working with children and youth to join our team as Spring Break Day Camp Leaders and Children’s Program Instructors.  This is a great opportunity if you share our Core Values, have a desire to continue to learn and grow in the job, are committed to serving the public, and enjoy team work and collaboration. This is a non-union, casual position responsible for working with children 5 - 12 years old, in a day camp environment.

Applicants must have experience working with these ages, be willing to work March 21^st to April 1^st from 8:30am-4:30pm, possess First Aid & Food Safe certifications and have a clean criminal record check. Experience and/or certificates in recreation, physical literacy, education, human/social services or equivalent will be preferred.

Activities you will lead can include:

• sports and active games
• arts and crafts
• science
• dance
• cooking
• adapted programs, including inclusion support
