Children's Program Leader

Courtenay Recreation is looking for energetic individuals who enjoy working with children and youth to join our team as Children’s Program Instructors.  This is a great opportunity if you share our Core Values, have a desire to continue to learn and grow in the job, are committed to serving the public, and enjoy team work and collaboration. This is a non-union, casual position responsible for working with infants and children 0 - 5 years old and their caregivers, in structured and unstructured environments.

Applicants must have experience working with these ages, be willing to work mornings, afterschool/evenings or weekends, possess First Aid & Food Safe certifications and have a clean criminal record check. Experience and/or certificates in recreation, physical literacy, education, human/social services or equivalent will be preferred.

We are currently hiring for the following program areas/types:

Early years (0-5 years)

• active play and sport programs
• arts and crafts
• science
• dance
• cooking
