Public Hearings will be live-streamed on the City of Courtenay YouTube channel. Anyone who believes they are affected by a proposed bylaw shall be given a reasonable opportunity to be heard.
The deadline for written submissions is three hours prior to the start of the public hearing. Submissions should contain the writer’s name and address which become part of the public record. Council cannot hear from any interested parties, receive written submissions or receive any new information related to the bylaw following the conclusion of the public hearing.

The property owners have applied to rezone the above noted property from Residential Two Zone (R-2) to Residential One E Zone (R-1E) in order to allow for the subdivision of the property. The development proposal is for the existing home to remain on one lot and three new compact lots to be created. The Bylaw also includes amendment to the maximum size of an accessory building in order to permit the existing accessory building to remain lawful.
