City to Complete Sewer Pipe Inspections in Courtenay

December 8, 2017

A contractor will be conducting sewer pipe inspections and will be using traffic control the week of December 11 to 15, 2017 at various locations throughout East Courtenay as shown on the map provided below. This work is part of the City of Courtenay’s ongoing Asset Management program.

Sewer pipe inspections involve using a remote control camera to grade the condition of the underground sanitary and drainage pipes in order to prioritize utility renewal throughout the City.

Although every reasonable effort will be made to minimize the disruption to traffic, motorists should be prepared for minor delays. Roadways may be reduced to single lane alternating traffic flow directly adjacent to working crews with traffic control personnel on site. We ask that the traveling public to be patient, slow down and obey all traffic control.
