Construction on Headquarters Road and Vanier Drive

Project Update: Starting Monday, May 15, crews will be moving off Headquarters Road, and onto Vanier Drive.

Beginning this week, a utilities replacement project will result in traffic impacts along Headquarters Road between Pebernat Road and Vanier Drive. This phase of the project will be completed by early May, and followed by construction on Vanier Drive between the Comox Valley Sports Centre and Headquarters Road which will be completed by the end of May.

The work will result in single-lane alternating traffic within the work zone during regular construction hours from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday through Saturday.

The project contractor will construct a new sewer main on Headquarters Road and Pebernat Road, and replace the water main on Vanier Drive.

Traffic control personnel will be on-site to assist all commuters, including vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians.
