City to Complete Sewer Pipe Inspections in Downtown Courtenay

February 27, 2017

Updated: Crews will be wrapping up sewer pipe inspections in downtown Courtenay this week (February 27 to March 3) outside of regular business hours. The project has been delayed due to inconsistent weather experienced this month.

While work is anticipated to be completed in the evenings of Monday and Tuesday, February 27 and 28, work may continue beyond those dates. Although every reasonable effort will be made to minimize the disruption to traffic, motorists should be prepared for minor delays. Roadways may be reduced to single lane alternating traffic flow
directly adjacent to working crews with traffic control personnel on site. We ask that the traveling public to be patient, slow down and obey all traffic control. Thank you!

These previously announced sewer pipe inspections in downtown Courtenay that were originally scheduled for last week were delayed due to the snowstorms. The inspections are happening this week instead (February 13 - 17). Expect periodic single-lane alternating traffic in the downtown core next to working crews.
