Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in one of the most livable cities in British Columbia? The City of Courtenay is seeking a skilled Asset Management Business Analyst to join our collaborative team!
In this important permanent full-time role, you will contribute to the future of our community's infrastructure. As a valued member of the Asset Management team, you will enhance our asset management practices by developing innovative strategies, tools and frameworks. Your insights will support effective investment planning and risk management, ensuring our City continues to thrive.
What You'll Be Doing:
• Managing and tracking asset replacement costs, levels of service and risk-based metrics.
• Developing and implementing asset management plans.
• Incorporating best practices from AMBC and ISO 55,000.
• Leading the development of a new performance-based renewal planning system that will model and propose capital plans.
• Delivering essential services such as transportation, water, sewer, solid waste collection, fire protection, parks and recreation.
What You’ll Bring:
• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or an equivalent background.
• Certificate or diploma in Asset Management or related fields such as data collection, statistical data analysis or capital planning.
• Eligibility for membership with the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of BC.
• Five years of progressive experience in municipal asset / infrastructure management.
• Three years of experience in geospatial data analysis, data science, business analysis or other relevant areas.
• Familiarity with business intelligence tools and analytics software (e.g., Power BI, Oracle BI, Tableau, Miro Strategy, etc.).
• Strong skills in data analysis and modeling, Python, SQL, and Microsoft Office 365.
• Strong ArcGIS Enterprise or ArcGIS Online and FME (Safe Software) skills.
