  • June 1 - 1, 2025 (7:00am - 6:59am) - ParticipACTION Community Challenge

    The national ParticipACTION Community Challenge is happening for the entire month of June, and Courtenay Recreation is encouraging everyone in Courtenay to get involved in the fun.

  • June 11 - 12, 2025 (11:00pm - 1:00am) - Council Meeting

    4 p.m. in the Comox Valley Regional District's Civic Room. Attend either virtually or in person.

  • June 16, 2025 (2:00am - 3:30am) - Simms Summer Concerts - Georgia Strait Big Band

    The free Simms Summer Concerts return to Simms Millenium Park this month with free live music on Sundays throughout the summer. The season opener is the Georgia Strait Big Band on Sunday, June 15 at 7 p.m.

  • June 25 - 26, 2025 (11:00pm - 1:00am) - Council Meeting

    4 p.m. in the Comox Valley Regional District's Civic Room. Attend either virtually or in person.

  • June 30 - 1, 2025 (11:00pm - 4:45am) - Canada Day celebrations - Night Before concert

    From 4:00 - 9:45 p.m. enjoy performances on the mainstage at Lewis Park.

  • July 1, 2025 (4:00pm - 11:00pm) - Canada Day celebrations

    Celebrations from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. in downtown Courtenay and Lewis Park. The Parade is at 10 a.m. on 5th Street and activities in Lewis Park start at 11 a.m.

  • July 18, 2025 (8:30pm - 10:30pm) - Nickel Carnival

    Face painting, carnival games, contests, prizes, a treat trot and candy guesses are all part of this summer tradition for 3 - 12 years with adult. The carnival is at the Native Sons Hall!

  • August 30, 2025 (6:00pm - 8:00pm) - Pooch-A-Poolooza!

    Every dog must have its day and that day is Saturday, August 30 at the Courtenay Outdoor Pool at Lewis Park. Courtenay Recreation is hosting a dog swim, the last event of the season before the pool closes for the winter. Bring your favourite pooch for some fun in the sun.
