Park & Ride: From Brooklyn Elementary School, 1290 Guthrie Road. The Shuttle bus runs 11:30 am - 3:30 pm.
Come out to the 31st Annual Father’s Day Kite Fly, Sunday, June 16th at Goose Spit Park from 12:30 – 2:30 pm. Dads, moms, grandparents, friends and kids of all ages will enjoy the colours and shapes of kites flying through the sky. Registration starts at noon and is FREE and open to everyone.
Trophy’s and prizes will be awarded in a variety of categories, such as peoples’ choice, stunt kite, oldest pilot, largest kite, hard-luck flyer, homemade kite, and more.
A free hot dog roast at the fire pit is part of the fun. All food will be provided.
As limited parking is available at Goose Spit Park, a free shuttle bus will run every fifteen minutes from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm leaving Brooklyn Elementary School (the old Cape Lazo School at 1290 Guthrie Road).
