Jeff Plankenhorn hails from Campbell River and combines a broad array of genres from soulful rock and folk to blues, country and bluegrass in his music. For many years he was a successful session guitarist in Austin Texas for several prominent musicians. About 10 years ago, he decided to go solo and combined world-class songwriting and powerful performances in his critically acclaimed SoulSlide album.

He’s a multi-instrumentalist and slide guitar virtuoso who designed his own signature lap-steel guitar “The Plank” which gained him an Austin Music Award in 2017. His second full-length album as a solo artist, Sleeping Dogs, was released in 2018.

Look for some new Jeff Plankenhorn releases soon! His single/video, Alone at Sea, comes out August 16 and his album of the same name will be released September 29.

His hard work is paying off and he’s building his audience at festivals and venues all over Canada & the US, building lifelong friends and fans along the way. For more info visit Jeff's website at: https://jeffplankenhorn.com/home
