Courtenay Parks & Trails Status

Update: Wednesday, December 17
Lewis Park is now fully OPEN. The playground reopened today after receiving a sand replacement.

Update: Tuesday, December 16

Lewis Park: The playground area is CLOSED till at least tomorrow as we replace sand. Lewis Park is OPEN at the totem poles entrance.

Anderton Trail:  This trail is washed out and is CLOSED to the public. The entrance to this trail is at Anderton Avenue and 1st Street or right beside Condensory bridge in Courtenay.

Puntledge Park: Is OPEN but will be undergoing repairs to surfacing from washout.

Courtenay Riverway/Airpark Walkway: The walkway is OPEN and passable, however the city is still doing some debris cleaning.

Rotary Riverside Trail: A portion of the trail connecting Robert Lang Drive (behind old Rod and Gun Club) with the Ruth Masters Greenway further west has been CLOSED since the end of November.
