Comox Road Reopened After Repairs

Update 3:00 pm: Comox Road open in both directions!
Update 1:30 pm: The water in the affected area of Comox Road has now been turned back on. Area residents experiencing any water issues should call City of Courtenay Public Works at 250-338-1525.
Update 11:25 am: Crews have had to turn off the water main in this area for the repair. Affected area is Comox Road from 17th Street Bridge south to Courtenay boundary (near Scott Road). Water will be off for approximately two hours.... Traffic is heavy in this area, please use an alternate route if possible.
11:10 am: The 1900 /2000 block of Comox Road (past the bird viewing deck as you head towards Comox) has been reduced to single-lane alternating traffic starting at 11:00 am for an emergency water main repair, until approximately 3:00 pm.Traffic control personnel are on hand to assist commuters and emergency services.
