Chances Casino Application for Change to Liquor Licence

Chances Courtenay located at 361 Hunt Road and operated by Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Ltd, has submitted an application to the Liquor Control and Licencing Branch (LCLB) for a structural change to their liquor license. The proposed change is to increase their occupant load from 419 to 735 persons.

As part of the application process, Courtenay Council must provide a resolution to the British Columbia Liquor Control and Licencing Branch addressing the potential for noise, the impact on the community, and the impact on nearby residents (in accordance with section 53 of the Liquor Control and Licencing Regulation).

Written comments on this application must be received by December 16, 2016 at 4:00 pm. Council will consider the application at the December 19, 2016 Council meeting.
