Pumpkins Accepted in Courtenay Yard Waste Bins

Wondering what to do with your pumpkin once Halloween is over if you don’t have your own backyard composter? City of Courtenay residents may put pumpkins in the Yard Waste bins for curbside collection. Please remove any candles or tea lights from the pumpkin.

Please note, kitchen waste (food scraps, compost, etc.) are otherwise not accepted in Yard Waste bins in Courtenay. The Town of Comox and Village of Cumberland are part of a Kitchen Waste/Organics Pilot Project through Comox Strathcona Waste Management; visit their websites for more information.
