Road Work on 5th Street & Duncan Ave

The watermain replacement project continues on Duncan Avenue in downtown Courtenay. On Wednesday September 28^th, work in the Duncan Avenue and 5^th Street intersection will begin at 5:30 am and last until about 9:00 am. This early start time is to minimize traffic disruptions through the day and is for one day only.

During this work, Duncan Avenue will be closed on either side of 5^th Street and 5^th Street will be reduced to single lane alternating traffic. Traffic control personnel will be on-site to assist all commuters, including vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians.

Construction on Duncan Avenue will continue until late October.
