Lerwick Road Temporary Lane Closures at Hospital Site

Update Thursday, May 11:

The contractor is nearing completion on this project. They will be working on Lerwick Road in front of the hospital site on Friday, May 12, with one final construction day on Monday, May 15.

Previously:

Friday, May 5:  

The start date for this project was postponed by the contractor until Monday May 8. Work will take place on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, depending on the weather.

 Thursday, May 4:

Lerwick Road commuters, please note that upcoming work for the Comox Valley Hospital project will result in lane closures near the hospital site. Contractors working on behalf of the project will be installing a new median in the centre of Lerwick Road, just north of the entrances to North Island College and Home Depot.

Expect single-lane closures in both directions on Friday, May 5 from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and Monday, May 8 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Work will continue past Monday, with the schedule to be announced Monday based on the weather forecast. There are no lane closures this weekend.

Please obey traffic control personnel and drive carefully around crews.
