Reminder: Important Tax Deadline for City of Courtenay Homeowners

A reminder of important tax deadlines for City of Courtenay home owners.
If you haven't already:
- Claimed a home owner grant for 2021 *
- Claimed a retroactive home owner grant for 2020
- Paid your 2021 property taxes
- Submitted an application to defer 2021 property taxes
Outstanding Property Tax Deadline
The deadline to pay your property taxes is Friday, December 31, 2021 at 3 p.m. After that date, interest begins to accrue. The deadline to defer your property taxes through the Province of B.C. is midnight on December 31.
Home Owner Grant Deadline
You may claim your 2021 home owner grant online until midnight on December 31. New this year! Claim your grant directly through the Province of B.C.: gov.bc.ca/homeownergrant
