Courtenay Recreation Update: Updates to Public Health Orders

March 11, 2022

The Province of B.C. is lifting the mask mandate on Friday, March 11. As of Friday, mask requirements will be lifted for patrons of Courtenay Recreation facilities.

Staff are reviewing the updated public health order and are busy updating signage and procedures. Thank you for your patience while they make these changes – and please be mindful of others who may have different comfort levels with these changes.

Please note that proof of vaccination is still required in Courtenay Recreation facilities until April 8, 2022. This requirement applies to all participants 12 years or older in most programs, except for sports programs for those under 22 years. Participants must produce a QR code for scanning and those 19 years and over will need to show government issued ID. Please see details at courtenay.ca/vaccineproof
