Property Tax Payments: Possible Canada Post Mail Disruption

Due to a possible Canada Post strike or lockout, the City of Courtenay Finance Department is advising property tax payers to use methods other than the postal system to pay property taxes and to claim the Home Owner Grant. Property tax payers are reminded that property tax payments and homeowner grant applications must be received by July 4, 2016 at 4:30pm. A 10% penalty will apply to any property tax payments that are not received by the due date.
A number of other payment options are available, including through your financial institution, in person at City Hall, or the after-hours drop box at City Hall. Find out more:
