Spring Programs and COVID-19 FAQ

Due to COVID-19 all SPRING PROGRAMS with Courtenay Recreation are currently suspended until the month of May. City of Courtenay continues to monitor the situation, and will make a decision around Spring Programs reconvening for May by Mid-late April.

Thank-you all for your patience and understanding. We encourage you to stay active and healthy through our virtual videos posted under Virtual Recreation. Activity suggestions for children are coming very soon!


  1. What if I am currently registered in a spring program and want a refund?

    No problem. Please contact the Lewis or Filberg Centre to initiate your withdrawal and refund. Please note: Refunds can be issued to original credit card only and by cheque only at this time for all other tenders. You are welcome to leave the credit on your account for future use.

  2. I have a current Wellness Centre Membership, will my membership be extended?

    Wellness Centre memberships have currently been suspended and will be resumed once the Wellness Centre reopens. Original duration of memberships will be honored.

  3. I would like to stay registered in my current Spring activity. Will I be credited for the missed classes once the session resumes?

    Yes, you will receive a pro-rated credit/refund for any missed activity times once activities resume

  4. What is the best way to stay informed on the status of Spring programs?

    Please subscribe to receive emails from us through your online account. Or check here on our website or the City of Courteany Facebook page for up to date information. If you know of someone who is not getting our email notifications please encourage them to log on to their online account to ensure a correct or current email address has been provided.
