Parks & Recreation Master Plan
Courtenay’s Parks and Recreation Master Plan will inform planning and decision-making for our community’s parks, trails, recreation facilities and programs over the next 10 years. The plan was adopted by Courtenay Council in September 2019. Staff are now working on an implementation plan.

Next steps
Council approved the Parks and Recreation Masterplan Implementation Strategy at the October 25, 2023, Council meeting.
The Parks and Recreation Masterplan Implementation Strategy prioritizes and guides the City’s work plan, capital and operational expenditures, and strategic initiatives related to park and recreation matters over the next 10 years.
