Outdoor Pool planning and engagement
The Courtenay and District Memorial Outdoor Pool is nearing the end of its service life. The City has been exploring options for repairs, renovation, or replacement.
In fall 2025, an options study and community engagement were completed, with results presented to Council.

About the Outdoor Pool
The 30-metre pool is located beside the Lewis Centre at 489 Old Island Highway, offering a variety of programs and activities for all ages.
Wading pool
The Wading Pool next to the Courtenay Outdoor Pool will remain closed until further notice as the City continues assessing viable repair options.
Accessibility
The Outdoor Pool includes a pool lift for swimmers with mobility needs.
