The City of Courtenay is home to several of the Comox Valley's largest cultural facilities, all located within steps of one another in downtown Courtenay.
The City also partners with community organizations, including the Downtown Courtenay Business Improvement Association, on cultural activities and events.
City Council officially approved a Strategic Cultural plan on March 12, 2025. The Strategic Cultural Plan highlights the impact and value of arts and culture in Courtenay. It provides a framework to continue supporting this important aspect of community life.
