We provide safe, inclusive and accessible recreation, cultural and community programs for all ages and abilities.
Our department includes:
- Recreation facility operations – Manages and maintains recreational facilities.
- Recreation programming – Plans and delivers programs, activities and events.
- Recreation and cultural business services – Supports the administration of recreation and cultural programs.
- Community services – Connects residents with resources and supports community initiatives.
We also:
- Work with cultural facilities and organizations, including the Courtenay Recreation Association (CRA) and the Evergreen Club.
- Manage park and sports field bookings.
- Plan for the future of parks, recreation, culture, and community services.
