Save the date! Applications are not yet open, but soon the Courtenay Volunteer Fire department will be looking for new recruits for the 2026-2027 training year. Anyone who lives in the City of Courtenay or the Courtenay Fire Protection District and who is thinking about applying is welcome to visit the Courtenay Fire Hall at 650 Cumberland Road on Thursday, May 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. to meet the team, ask questions, and find out what it’s like to join this progressive, inclusive, highly trained department.
