The Sharp Seven brings an evening of jazz to Simms Millennium Park on Sunday, July 19.
The Sharp Seven is a Courtenay-Comox jazz ensemble that brings together experienced local musicians and Vancouver Island University alumni. Formed with the support of VIU Big Band Director Greg Bush, the group has built a distinctive sound through original arrangements that blend the richness of a big band with the energy and intimacy of a small ensemble.
Now featuring vocalist Mel McCutcheon alongside Paul Nuez, Grahame Edwards, Michael Eddy, Jack Reynolds, Beau Stocker and Dave Lymburner, The Sharp Seven delivers an evening of timeless jazz, outstanding musicianship and plenty of groove.
