Mail Ballot Voting

Instructions

  1. Confirm you are registered to vote before applying for a Mail Ballot. You can confirm if you are registered to vote on the British Columbia 2026 local elections webpage. More information on ways to register to vote can be found in the FAQ on our election page.
  2. If your application is complete and you qualify to vote by mail ballot, a mail ballot package will be sent to you as soon as the ballots are available. If we receive your application after October 5, 4:30 p.m., the time may be insufficient for mailing and receipt of the ballot; we recommend that you arrange to pick up a mail ballot package from the City of Courtenay, City Hall reception.
  3. You are responsible for ensuring that your completed ballot and documents are received by the chief election officer on October 17, 2026, by 6 p.m.
