Comox Valley heat warning and cooling spaces

From the Comox Valley Regional District:
A Yellow Heat Warning (issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada) is in effect for the Comox Valley and is expected to end on Wednesday, July 22.

A Yellow Heat Warning means daytime and overnight temperatures will be unusually high for at least two consecutive days and may pose a moderate health risk, particularly for people who are more sensitive to heat.

Take steps now to stay cool:

  •  Avoid direct sun during the hottest part of the day.
  •  Seek shade or spend time in cool, air-conditioned spaces.
  •  Drink water regularly, even if you don't feel thirsty.
Local cooling options are posted on the Comox Valley Regional District's cooling spaces page: https://www.comoxvalleyrd.ca/services/emergency-management/comox-valley-cooling-spaces
