Stealing Dan brings the music of Steely Dan to Simms Millennium Park

Stealing Dan will bring the sophisticated sound of Steely Dan to Simms Millennium Park on Sunday, August 16, at 7 p.m. as part of the Simms Summer Concerts series.

The Vancouver Island tribute band performs favourites including “Reelin’ in the Years,” “Rikki Don’t Lose That Number” and “My Old School,” along with lesser-known selections for devoted Steely Dan fans.

Stealing Dan recreates the rich harmonies, intricate arrangements and exceptional musicianship that made Steely Dan one of the most distinctive pop-jazz bands of its era.

The band has built a devoted following on Vancouver Island and beyond, with performances at Vancouver Island MusicFest and the Nanaimo International Jazz Festival.

The concert is free. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy an evening of live music at Simms Millennium Park, located by the 5th Street Bridge across from Lewis Park. The Weenie Wagon food truck will be on site beginning at 6 p.m.

The final Simms Summer Concerts performance of the season is Time Well Wasted on Sunday, August 23.
