The City of Courtenay’s Public Notice Bylaw explains how the City shares important notices with residents. When public notice is required, the City generally publishes the notice in a local newspaper and posts it on City social media accounts at least seven days before Council considers the matter. The City may also share notices through additional channels to help keep the community informed.
