Time Well Wasted will bring funk, soul, pop, rock, R&B and dance favourites to Simms Millennium Park on Sunday, August 23, at 7 p.m. for the final performance of the 2026 Simms Summer Concerts.
The Comox Valley-based 10-piece party band has entertained audiences across Vancouver Island for more than 26 years. Featuring powerhouse vocals, a driving rhythm section and a four-piece horn section, Time Well Wasted is known for high-energy performances that get audiences singing and dancing.
Their repertoire spans classics from artists including Earth, Wind & Fire, Chicago, Journey and Stevie Wonder, along with newer hits from Bruno Mars and Dua Lipa. The band has performed at festivals, concerts and community celebrations throughout British Columbia, including the Campbell River Street Dance and the Town of Comox’s Float Your Boat Concert Series.
The season finale will also include a food bank drive in support of the Comox Valley Food Bank. Cash, debit and credit card donations will be accepted, with electronic donations available through Tip Tap or a handheld POS unit. Attendees are encouraged to consider making a financial contribution at the concert, as monetary donations give the Food Bank flexibility to purchase the items most needed by local individuals and families.
Non-perishable food donations are also welcome, with peanut butter and cereal always high on the Food Bank’s list of needed items. Donations over $20 qualify for a tax receipt, which can be emailed directly to donors.
The free concert begins at 7 p.m. at Simms Millennium Park, located by the 5th Street Bridge and across from Lewis Park. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the final evening of live music by the Courtenay River.
The Weenie Wagon will be onsite starting at 6 p.m., giving concertgoers a chance to grab dinner before the music begins.
