Enjoy free outdoor concerts featuring local and regional performers on Sunday evenings throughout the summer. Bring your own lawn chair or blanket and get ready to enjoy great live music at Simms Millennium Park.

The Simms Summer Concert staff and volunteers are very sad to hear of the passing of Anela Kahiamoe, an amazing community spirited musician. We send sincere condolences to his family and friends. The Duo of Duos concert that was featuring Anela and others, scheduled for this Sunday, June 22, is cancelled. |

August 17 | Shotgun Kelly | A seasoned tribute band putting their hearts into the music and bringing a selection of tunes from Adele to AC/DC. |
August 24 | The Doobie Brothers Experience (concert includes a food bank drive) | Enjoy a masterful celebration of The Doobie Brothers music! This band brings top flight performances of the greatest hits including "What a Fool Believes," "Takin' it to the Streets," "Minute by Minute" and more. This concert also features a food bank drive. |

Blues jam brings cool grooves and hot licks to Simms Park on Sunday, July 20
[Courtenay, B.C.] [July 10, 2025] – Get ready for an evening of powerhouse performances as some of the Comox Valley’s top blues musicians take the stage at Simms Summer Concerts on Sunday, July 20, at 7 p.m.
Hosted by Daryl Duus and the Gentlemen of Leisure, the blues jam will feature a rotating lineup of 10 guest artists, backed by the Gentlemen of Leisure rhythm section. This showcase of local blues talent will serve up a mix of smooth, soulful and gritty tunes — a treat for fans of both cool blues and hot licks.
Audience members are invited to “look the part” and wear their best blues hat. A prize will be awarded at the end of the night for the most bonafide blues look.
The concert will run until approximately 8:30 p.m. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the music in the riverside setting of Simms Millennium Park, located by the 5th Street Bridge and across from Lewis Park.
The free Simms Summer Concerts continue most Sundays at 7 p.m. through July and August. Upcoming performances include Time Well Wasted on July 27, Stealing Dan on August 10, Shotgun Kelly on August 17 and the Doobie Brothers Experience on August 24, which will also feature a food bank drive.

Time Well Wasted brings big sound and high energy to Simms Park on Sunday, July 27

Simms Summer Concerts will turn up the volume on Sunday, July 27, at 7 p.m. with Time Well Wasted, a 10-piece, horn-driven band from the Comox Valley known for their high-energy performances and infectious sound.
Lighting up stages across Vancouver Island for more than 20 years, Time Well Wasted delivers a dynamic blend of rock, R&B, pop and dance. Performing mega hits from legends like Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind & Fire and Santana — along with modern artists such as Bruno Mars, Adele and Taylor Swift — their unique mix of timeless influences and contemporary sounds offers something for music fans of all ages.
