Canada Day Celebrations

Courtenay’s Canada Day Celebrations return June 30 and July 1 with two days of free community events, live music, cultural programming, food, vendors and family activities.

Start with the Night Before Concert on Tuesday, June 30, then join the July 1 Canada Day Celebrations in downtown Courtenay and Lewis Park.

    Free public swim

    Cool off with a free public swim at the Outdoor Pool.
    Time: noon to 5 p.m.
    Location: Courtenay and District Memorial Outdoor Pool in Lewis Park

    Evergreen Tea Dance

    Enjoy a drop-in tea dance with music by the Georgia Straight Big Band, refreshments and cake.
    Time: 2 to 4 p.m.

    Courtenay and District Museum open house

    Visit the museum for live music by Alan Jossul, kids’ crafts, a door prize, a one-day book sale and the second-floor exhibit New Acquisitions.
