The City of Courtenay is partnering with research firm PRA Inc. to conduct the 2026 resident survey – Your Courtenay, Your Voice – from November 5 to 30, 2026.
Now in its fourth year of a five-year benchmarking process, the survey helps the City track community priorities and measure changes over time. Once five years of data have been collected, the survey will transition to a biennial (every other year) schedule.
The survey will be conducted by telephone, with randomly selected Courtenay residents aged 18 and older invited to share their feedback.
The goals of the survey include:
- providing input for the City’s strategic planning and budget process
- identifying and confirming strategic priorities
- highlighting key community issues and services
- assessing resident awareness of City programs and services
- identifying service gaps or opportunities for enhancement
- supporting continuous improvement across City services
The results of the 2026 resident survey results will be presented to Council in early 2027.
