Note: The Province of B.C. runs the property tax deferment program. Contact the Province for all applications, renewals, loan balances and repayment questions.
Eligibility
The Province of B.C. offers two programs:
- Regular program: Available to homeowners who are 55 and over, a surviving spouse of any age, or a person with disabilities.
- Families with children program: Available to eligible homeowners with children.

What properties qualify
Only primary residences qualify. You cannot defer taxes on rental properties, vacation homes or second residences.
