Bylaw No. 3192
Council will consider 1st, 2nd and 3rd readings of Zoning – Amendment Bylaw No. 3192 (2555 Cumberland Rd) at the March 25, 2026, regular Council meeting. In accordance with section 464(3) of the Local Government Act, the City must not hold a public hearing when the sole purpose of a zoning bylaw is to permit a development that is consistent with the Official Community Plan and that is at least half residential by area.
The purpose of the bylaw is to rezone 2555 Cumberland Road from Residential One A zone (R-1A) to Residential Multi-Unit Housing (R-SSMUH) zone, Medium Density Multi-Residential (RM-1) zone, Residential Four A zone (R-4A), Public Use and Assembly Two zone (PA-2) and roads for the subject property to allow for a residential subdivision and two neighbourhood parks. Permitted residential building types would include duplexes and townhouses in all proposed residential zones, as well as single residential dwellings and accessory dwelling units in R-SSMUH and single residential dwellings and low-rise apartment buildings in R-4A.
