Parcel Tax Assessment Roll
Letters detailing changes in taxable frontage values for City property owners have now been mailed. Generally, these letters have only been forwarded to residents in new subdivisions, affected boundary extension properties, or areas with new services.
The parcel tax roll may be discussed by email, phone or in person from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday (except statutory holidays),or by dropping off your questions in the mail slot at Courtenay City Hall, 830 Cliffe Avenue.
A person who owns a parcel included on the parcel tax roll may request that the roll be amended*, but only in relation to the person’s own property.
*As per section 205(1) of the Community Charter (complaintsto review panel)
The first sitting of the Parcel Tax Review Panel will be held at the Comox Valley Regional District Civic Room, 770 Harmston Avenue, on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at3 p.m., to consider complaints against the 2026 Parcel Tax Roll.
Written notice of appeal must be received at Courtenay City Hall, Finance Department, 830 Cliffe Avenue, Courtenay, B.C., V9N 2J7by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026, prior to the first sitting ofthe Parcel Tax Review Panel.
