The City of Courtenay’s Simms Summer Concerts series continues Sunday, July 5, at 7 p.m. with a free performance by The Doobie Brothers Experience at Simms Millennium Park.
Based in Vancouver, The Doobie Brothers Experience is Canada’s premier Doobie Brothers tribute act, performing hits from across the band’s career, including “China Grove,” “Long Train Runnin’,” “What a Fool Believes” and “Minute by Minute.”
With Simms Millennium Park reopening ahead of schedule following the early completion of the 6th Street Bridge, the remaining Simms Summer Concerts return to their original location after an initial plan to hold the full season at Lewis Park. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy an evening of live music by the Courtenay River until approximately 8:30 p.m.
Upcoming Simms Summer Concerts performances include Joel Lee on July 12, The Sharp Seven on July 19 and Shotgun Kelly on July 26.
